The future is here and Samsung is illuminating the way!
Earlier this year, Samsung officially announced the release of their first prototype, the Samsung Safety Truck, to be used on the open roads of Argentina. The Samsung Safety Truck revolutionizes truck driving, as well as truck driving safety, and steers towards improving people’s lives by combining the use of exciting new technology with road safety.
“Samsung is always looking for opportunities to apply technology in innovative ways to improve people’s lives. Leveraging our experience as the world leader in display technology, along with Leo Burnett, we came up with the idea of the Samsung Safety Truck, an invention that we believe will change the history of road safety,” said Sang Jik Lee, President of Samsung Electronics Argentina.
Fitted with two built-in front cameras, specially designed transportation software and a high quality Samsung 46” display, the Samsung Safety Truck is designed to withstand even the most challenging conditions — both road and environmental. The stunning video quality is unique and remarkable to Samsung products, as can be seen in this video.
In the U.S., truck driving plays a crucial role as thousands of transports are made each day — and the industry is only expanding. Truck drivers need to meet delivery deadlines and harrow through long, tiring hours on the road and much of the responsibility and safety falls upon these professionals. But as many professional truck drivers know, that’s just the nature of the beast. Timely deliveries — but safety first.
However, other motorists may not indulge the same “Safety Matters” mantra that many professional truck drivers stick to. Motorist often times are not well aware of their surroundings or road conditions, which can lead to fatal mistakes.
Thanks to companies like Samsung, the roads can now be a little safer.
