Beacon Gives Back Outreach Event to Serve Nashville Rescue Mission

Beacon Transport is proud to announce an outreach event at the Nashville Rescue Mission on Friday, May 1, 2015. The project is part of Beacon Gives Back, the company’s core philanthropic effort.

Beacon will be serving dinner to the homeless from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the Mission, a Christ-centered community in Nashville dedicated to helping the hungry, homeless and hurting. Prior to the dinner, Beacon will accept donations for items on the Mission Wish List.

Items on the Mission Wish List include, but are not limited to:

  • Men and women’s clothing
  • Disposable razors
  • Bed sheets and towels
  • Fresh produce and unprocessed cheeses
  • Sanitary napkins
  • Baby formula and diapers
  • And much more

“We hope that all who can participate will do so,” says Stan Pritchett, a founder of Beacon Transport. “We are so blessed and this is one way to give back to those less fortunate.”

The volunteer event at the Nashville Rescue Mission is part of the Beacon Gives Back program, which promotes community service and philanthropy among the company’s team members. Previous events have included Beacon Tornado Relief and Making Strides of Nashville Walk, which raised money for breast cancer research.
